Recently when using RPM, it displays a warning that the user/group "dude" does not exist. I tried this with apt, xine and mplayer rpms from shrike.freshrpms and I keep getting these messages. It does not display an error but the package doesn't seem to be installed.
Here's how the installation look like for apt. What should I do? Is there a need to set up the user/group dude? Thanks for all your help!

This is the source RPM. It installs into the sources directory to be compiled into an RPM on your machine that you can then install. Probably into
/usr/src/redhat/SRPMS
Did you want to recompile the source on your machine or did you actually want to install the executable of apt-get?
That's right. I thought I downloaded the binary, didn't notice the "src".
I tried rebuilding but I still get the warning about user/group dude thing. Is that normal? It seems to proceed to compile, but in the end I get the following message:
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[1]: *** [cdrom] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/redhat/BUILD/apt-0.5.5cnc6/methods'
