RHEL 4 beta works great...

I finally got all the ISOs downloaded for RHEL 4 WS beta and got it all installed on my notebook...

It seems to be running perfectly.. I especially like the gnome 2.8 and the GDM login screen... very professional..

I have only had it installed for about 6 hours... but I have set up all of my basic personalizations without finding a single bug...

It is working perfectly with the ATI Radeon Mobility M6 on my Compaq Evo N180

I have set up Evolution (Evolution 2.0 is pretty cool... the design structure resembles Outlook 2003) GAIM, X-Chat, Mozilla Flash extensions, etc...

I just wanted to let everyone know that it's working great... I recommend checking it out... You'll be running RHEL with free updates for about 6 Months at least...

I'm gonna have to check it out coz I am looking for a good server distro. It seems like a lot of people have positive things to say about Redhat's enterprise offerings.

halo,

I had a thread going about this a few days ago. I see you wanted to know where to find RHEL Beat 4. I am glad you found it.

Anyway, I had the opprotunity to try it out this weekend and I am also pleased.

I have a quickie review of WS here.

Mark
