Angry RH9 installation problem

I installed RH9 on my 366 MHz Cyrix chip MII computer. Installation had to be repeated multiple times because I kept getting an error file not found which seemed to happen at random times during the installation. I finally got it installed without any errors but when it boots up into Linux I see a single line (some more lines come up but its so fast that I cannot read them):

uncompressing Linux Boot OK

Then the following continously scrolls onto the screen:

[<C0_________>] text message that is so fast its hard to read

There are 9 digits total inside the carrots but the first 2 are the only ones I can read. Then I have to cut the power to my computer to get out of an endless loop. I installed RH8 without any problems previous to upgrading to RH9.

Thanks for any help,

Mike
