RH9 install - incorrect harddisk size detected
I recently bought a PC with a default Lindows OS. It has a Hitachi 80G drive.Prior to scratch installing this with Redhat 9, I was able to save some file regarding the hardware configuration. I also saved the /var/log/* files in case it'll be useful.
Lindows:/etc/devices/devices.inf : : [disk.1] partition1 = 1, 128519, 83 hdparms = partition4 = 0, 0, 0 model = HDS722580VLAT20 partition2 = 128520, 2088450, 82 device = /dev/hda partition3 = 2216970, 117884970, 83 driver = ide-disk : : When installing Redhat 9, the Disk Druid or install software detects that it's only a 55G drive. [root@localhost sysconfig]# hdparm -g /dev/hda /dev/hda: geometry = 7476/255/63, sectors = 120103200, start = 0 Any clues on how I could fully utilize this hard disk? Thanks. |
