Is there a way to configure my window manager (I have a stock RH9 setup with Gnome) so that I can have an application (xmms) appear as a system tray icon (if the gnome icon area is called this, its like the windows system tray) and not as a taskbar icon, since I want access to xmms from all desktops/workspaces but dont want to clutter my taskbar area with xmms task icons..
If I cant, I would like to atleast remove the taskbar icon and have nothing
