RH satellite server default snippets not loading

Problem: Our default snippets on the satellite server are no longer loading at build time.

If I use a pre/post script my custom snippets get loaded.

I have been working with RH tech support for the last week and still no solution. So I thought I would post here and see if anyone has seen this.

I did not make any environment changes that should affect this. i say should because I did patch the SS but it was working after that.

I have tried to create a new generic un-cusomized kickstart file and that does not read them in either.

In my KS file when I view it i see the MOTD that I change and I see the other items. But they don't get loaded on the server.

my ssh keys dont get loaded so I have to enter the root passwd. but the code is in the KS file.

Several things like this are not happening.

Does anyone know how the default snippets get loaded?
Mind you I made no changes to my original KS except to add a line to a post script to do a yum -y update at the end to grab all the patches. By the way this works.

I did find this link

but this is not my issue i have template selected for my pre/pos scripts as needed.

Hope someone can help as I cannot build my systems now.

I googled and found this file is where the default snippets are told to load.

# this is a directory of files that cobbler uses to make
# templating easier. See the Wiki for more information. Changing
# this directory should not be required.
snippetsdir: /var/lib/cobbler/snippets

I viewed the file and it looks like it is set correctly.

Notice the file has not been changed for some time. Not sure what would change it.
[root@mysystem snippets]# ls -al /etc/cobbler/settings
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 15138 Jan 13 2011 /etc/cobbler/settings

It appears no one has run into this before. Well it has been resolved. I managed to work it out.
