Hi Guys,
so here
http://mirror.centos.org/centos/7/sc...64/rh/httpd24/ we have pkgs with both names (httpd24 & httpd24-httpd).
Does anyone know what the difference is, I can't seem to find it in google ?
Note that this is a different qn to
https://access.redhat.com/solutions/1439113 which asks about the difference between httpd & httpd24 & supplies the answer (former is std base repo version, latter is from Software Collections).
I am definitely going to need an 'uptodate' version that supplies httpd24-httpd-mmn = 20120211x8664 for use with php70 on RHEL/Centos v7.
It looks like the long name one is the one I need see eg
https://centos.pkgs.org/7/centos-scl...86_64.rpm.html, although I'd like to know what 'Provides' actually means on that page.
Does it mean 'httpd24-httpd-mmn = 20120211x8664 ' is built into the pkg as opposed to being a requirement - I can't seem to see it as a separate pkg but I don't usually have to dig this deep ...
Any help gratefully received.
