Removing Shutdown/Restart From Log Out Menu

I log in to my linux workstation more or less regularly, but when I log off in a hurry, some times I'll accidently select shut down from the log off menu instead of shutdown. Is there some way I can keep my self from doing this? I log in as a regular user if that helps... It just really annoys me when I do this, because I have to re-login into irc and whatnot... Thanks in advance .
