Redhat on a Dell Latitude X1
I am just plain having grief on this Latitude X1 getting the display settings to set to 1280x768, I have downloaded 915resolution added it to my rc.local, changed the xorg.conf, and its not doing much for me yet.
I see at dell they have a redhat driver for the display that would help me out a little, I downloaded it and there is a cat, icm and inf file in the dist. I honestly have not really played with linux since slackware (1999) and I have no idea what to do with these files, if its not an rpm or in yum, i pretty much dont know a lot. Anyone have an idea how to install these so at least I can select the proper settings in the display conf section? --G |
