Redhat on 64 bit AMD platform

We about to purchase a fairly powerful server based on 2 AMD 64 bit processor, loads of memory etc. It's job will be an engineering "solver" where PC's send it tasks, it runs specific engineering code then spits back the answers. We have the engineering code (or will have soon), but we have yet to decide on the best Linux to use and where to get it from.

In the past, I have used Redhat 7&8 and of course Debian, but am not sure that these distro's support 64 bit processing on two processors.

Can anyone help?

Jon.

Yes, those distributions will support 64 bit computing on multiple processors. The kernel is the only thing that matters in this case, and the Linux kernel has supported 64 bit processors for quite some time now. Multi-processor support has been around for much longer than that.
