RedHat installation for SATA hard disk
 
i have windows xp and fedora core 4. i want to install redhat 9 on fedora.
how do i do that? can i upgrade fedora? i tried but the red hat installer says no hard drive found!!!!!!

is the problem with SATA Hard Disk and will i need some raid drivers or something?

Please help. Thanks a lot folks.

Hmmm, I'm a little confused. RH 9 is quite a bit OLDER (by several years) than Fedora, so installing RH 9 is a downgrade. Do you have a reason to install RH 9? As for RH 9 not recognizing your SATA drive, that is because SATA technology did not exist at the time RH 9 was built, and the kernel on the installaiton disc does not recognize your controller or drive.
