A few days ago i was really board and didnt have any thing to do, so i was looking around on google for how to make a update CD for redhat 9. I found a HOWTO on rebuilding RedHat enterprise linux form the source. I dont really need it, because on my server i've got whitebox enterprise linux, but i got interested and decided to make my own.

I downloaded all the update SRPMS and the normal SRPMS from a mirror of the redhat ftp.

I started building the SRPS but then my baby bro. when to my server and switched it off :( (now i put tape on top of the switch so he can't hehehe)

I was about to start building it again but then I started to lookthrough the files and saw that there are some SRPMS that have diffrences because they are desigend for diffrend types of rhel (WS, AS, ES). So i got abit more interested and decided to make AS and WS.

But i dont know which of the SRPMS WS has And Which of them AS has.

So i was wondering if any one knows when i can get a list of the RPMS in both?

all new, now. check out the mirrors on wbel3 respin 1.
it may make all your problems obsolete. or redundant. go to whiteboxlinux.org if you don't have fast stuff.

edit:
just make sure you know what yer doing. WBEL3 Respin 1 is no joke. if you are a sysadmin this is the best thing to happen to you especially if you are a RedHat fan. if not, take care. i'm not and learned the hard way. Kernel 2.6.7 is difficult to customize to WhiteBox, but do-able as to RedHat's SRPMs? why bother? you already have WBEL. you'd have to "backstep" (--force obsolete files your system).
and that's Wierd. Dumb, too. Are you in India? i heard you guys are are making almost 11 dollars a day. Awesome.. Har...

lol i tried to make kernel 2.6 work with whitebox aswell. Went compleatly wrong, but i think thats because i missed somethings i was supposed to do.

I managed to build all the SRPMS and and starting to cutomise the installed, buuuuuut i just removed somefing from my system that i dont think i was supposed to + i dont know wot that was, luck for me i copyed everything to my other computer.

Im not in India im the the UK.
