Redhat 9 on Toshiba 6100 and Planar Flat Panel doesn't work.
I have a Satelite Pro 6100 laptop with the Geforce 4 420. Redhat shows fine on the laptop LCD, but when I try to install redhat 9 with the monitor plugged as the main display, during the final reboot of the redhat installation, the monitor goes blank.
The monitor is a planar flatpanel with a resolution of 1280x1024 @ 72hz. I have used both mandrake and slackware with this configuration with no problems. Why is redhat giving me issues? |
Possibly the card is attemtping to use ACPI settings to control the display switch, my 5100 s507 does.
I can only make the external work on Suse and Mandrake, as they fully support acpi. |
