Redhat 9 new builds: how find package?

So, I am installing RedHat 9 via FTP (many systems don't have CD drives) on several systems for a distributed prallel processing system.

I know I need MPI.

I installed 'everything' on my 'head node' and got MPI installed (lam-6.5.8-4).

When I install the smaller 'clients' I don't want to install 'everything' (disks too small).

Question: How do I know which option I need to install that includes lam-6.5.8-4?:newbie: :newbie:

Thanks

Joe

You can install packages one at a time - use the custom setup and read through all the variations.

More to the point: what are you doing mass installing such an old system. Especially when there are much better systems available for the same price?

RedHat 9 vs Fedora Core 4

Thanks for the response.
I was hoping to not have to hunt through 'select individual packages'.

Yes, I could be using Fedora, but disadvantages seem to be:
1. Fedora Core doesn't natively support booting off floppy (for the FTP install).
2. Not sure if my old hardware (Pentium I's) will be supported (e.g., old network cards, etc.
3. Not sure if RAM and Disk requirements have increased.
