Redhat 9 and broad com 440x10/100 ethernet card

I wantto install Redhat 9 linux on dell dimension 2350(celron) having ethernet card Broadcom 440x10/100 inegrated controller installed. I want to know whether Redhat 9 will recognize Broad com440. I had problem with Redhat7.3. Hence i want to buy redhat9. so Iam checking up befor buying. P lease help me in this.

To answer quickly - no. Redhat 9 will not auto-recognize the Broadcom 4401 NIC but there's an easy workaround for it. Just follow steps 5-10 and you'll have the NIC working in 4 minutes after you install Redhat. I would suggest you take a look at that thread and download the broadcom linux driver file (.tar.gz) before, unzip it and then copy the files to a floppy disk - that way they will be handy when you need them.
