try this...
ftp://ftp.heanet.ie/mirrors/ftp.redh.../redhat/linux/
There is no iso images. I don't know if you can create bootable cd's from this. rh6.1 is way too old... maybe you need to create a bootdisk to install it. There is a readme file i think.
Good Luck

If your going to install such an older version, at least use 6.2 which was probably their best release to date, well, in my opinion it was. But using such older versions, you do realize there are so many security vulnerabilities.. they got more holes than a one ton block of swiss cheese..

Asking for security issues. I would go with Fedora Core 3.

Thanx to perfect_circle and to you all, I know that RedHat 6.X distros are old but the machines I have to cope with are also old. So I really need an old RedHat release...

On a side note, if you *must* use an older version, I would recommend Red Hat Linux 6.2. It's probably our best (oldest) release that I've used. Not sure if there are updates available anywhere, but getting updated packages for that would enhance any security risks you are taking. Also, I would spend some time with ipchains for security if this (these) system(s) are going to be on the public domain.
