Red Hat Bin files


I must be missing something... I downloaded a Bin file and never had a problem in Suse. with it self running.. but in Red Hat 9 ,, it is looking at me and saying whats next.... wont run in either desktop.. does give you a option in Gnome to run .. and with that click you get the same..... What am I missing??? any ideas.???

What happens when you run it from a terminal?
bash /path/to/somefile.bin

?Well running in Termal.. tells me I have no Java Vm.. installed....??????

it does act like it wants to at least open... but have no clue what Java Vm in the path is..??
