Just bumping the thread since much time has passed and the problem is still there. Also I hope the text outlay isn't to messy, writing from the Redstar laptop now.
Also did a python -V check here is what i get:
Python 2.6
and here is the file name of the python on my Redstar ISO file which the software manager says it is already installed: python-2.6-7.rs3.0.i386.rpm
Is the Python 2.6 the same as the other one in the ISO? Both was installed when I installed Redstar on the pc, I haven't changed anything with python, I just need to fix the error I posted above. Any way to fix it? Like changing the main Python version to the one in the ISO if there are two different ones on Redstar. If so how do I change it? Any specific command or am I missing something? Feel free to ask any questions since I think I am close to getting this working the EPEL mirrors seems to be working fine and also downloading updates. But when I try installing/updating anything with the yum command I get the error I posted above.
edit: fixed spelling errors also funny that the forum identifies the pc as a Linux Fedora even though it is Redstar OS 3.0
