Problems with Red Hat Linux 9.0 after switching motherboard
Hi,
A few days ago the motherboard of my Linux server got damaged after a power surge. The motherboard that did get damaged was a EagleMax AMD K2. I decided to try to replace this motherboard with the a Asus K2 motherboard. After installing everything I started the server and everything seemed to go well, but after the message: Finding Module dependencies [OK] it didn't do anything. My question is if some of you have tried this too and/or got a solution to this problem? Or is the only option to reinstall Red Hat 9.0? Thanks in advance. Bye. Ivan |
Hi, I tried to do the same some days ago, replacing my CPU & motherboard though :D. Do you still use the same chip set? I suggest you reinstall anyway (that solved it for me - i couldn't recompile my kernel, weird error messages and stuff like that, but it seemed like my hardware was getting recognised correctly).
Do a Code:
# dmesg |
