When I click the update icon, now is a question mark icon, before I can launch update, redhat prompt me to register my system profile. And I fill in everything, and use my account that I registered in redhat website before, it just can't let me go through, keep saying that problem registering username.
Anyone can help?
Thanks a lot.
RedHat has become much more picky with their registering and up2dating as of late. Go to their site and login to see where you stand. You may have to verify an e-mail you got or something in order for your account to be active.

I'm having the exact same problem with my RH installation. I installed RH 9.0 last night on a brand new computer (well, it's a clean machine with a blank hard drive). The computer I'm trying to use it on is an IBM NetVista.
What kind of computer are you running? I'm trying to find a solution to this problem myself... there's another post floating around out there, too, with this same problem.
If ANYONE can help with this, please do.
ICO-- Give me your system specs. I want to compare it to my system, and maybe we can narrow it down and discover what's causing this problem. It sucks!

Log on to your rhn account. Red Hat dropped the ball and let the certificate expire before updateing up2date. Now you can't log on until you update up2date. The rpms are provided on the front page. I haven't fixed mine yet as I'm 2000 miles away from my Linux boxes, but now I know what the problem is.
EVERYONE is running into this...and Red Hat sent out a letter to those who get the errata notification. The new up2date installation is supposed to contain the new certificate. They are also providing the new certificate separtately. After the update, you should, I repeat should, be able to use up2date again.
This issue just came up today...it will be a headache for a lot of people...but it seems as if the fix is easy
The certificate used by up2date and rhn_register to communicate with Red Hat Network reached its end of life on August 28th, 2003. Users attempting to connect to Red Hat Network will see SSL connection or certificate verification failures.
I received the following e-mail from Red Hat (just clarifies all details about what Bobmeister and Mathieu said):

New versions of the up2date and rhn_register clients are now available which are required for continued access to Red Hat Network.
