Printing window under System Tools closes

I am trying to install access to a network printer. When I click on Printing under System tools, the window that would allow you to add/modify a printer opens and it shows it initializing, but then it shuts down. I belive it is RH 8 or 9.

I cannot add or delete any printers.

Any ideas?

Try system settings or control Panel.

Thanks for the response. What happened is a local printer was removed without deleting it first, there was an entry in /etc/cups/printers.conf. I edited the file and deleted that entry and was able to bring up the tool to add a printer.
