PHP on Redhat 9

Hello,

I just install RedHat 9 and during the installation I also install PHP, MySQL, Apache by default. I'm just wondering are they binary version and if I want to install source code and
compile them by myself, how can I do that?

Thanks,

hello!

you installed apache and mysql by default. on the distro cd's are rpms. as i know you only installed the support for php. it would be better to have them all compiled by you.

on the homepages you can find apache, mysql and php to download, you can find a lot of documentation and many more:
www.apache.org
www.mysql.com
www.php.net

here are the links for the download:
download apache [select mirror]
download mysql [select a mirror]
download php [select mirror]

i thing it's not necessary to post the installation-steps, because everything is in the officia docus here:
apache documentation
mysql documentation
php documentation

there you find docus for compiling and installing.

hope this helped you!
