Here's the problem:

I have i harddrive which divided is into two partitions..

one partition is used to run windows xp and the other is used to run rh9.

when i boot my system i use grubbootloader that rh9 provides.

i need to remove the rh9 partition completely, but this causes the grubbootloader to complain when i try to log into the windows partition..what should i do...help...

To erase grub from the MBR use the XP install CD and boot to recovery mode. Then run the fixmbr utility. If you do not have the XP install CD then you can use a windows 98 emergency boot disk and run
fdisk /mbr. If you do not have access to a windows 98 boot disk see bootdisk.com
