Exclamation Package Manager RH 8.0


My package manager has gone down!!! no rpm's will install etc etc
Anyone lend a hand?

Try rebuilding the rpm database - as root:
1) Kill any rpm proccesses that are running:
killall rpm
2) Remove the old database:
rm -f /var/lib/rpm/_*
3) Rebuild the database:
rpm --rebuilddb

Important safety tip: In step two above, when Mr. Ross says "_" he REALLY means it. Use an "_" (underscore) NOT a space!!!
