[SOLVED] NILFS on RedHat issues

Hey,

Before I get into my current issue if you have any advice on installing NILFS on red hat please get in touch.

I'm pretty new to the Linux world so take it easy on me. I am trying to compile NILFS utils 2.2.3 from source on a 64bit RHEL5 VM kv: 2.6.18-164.el5. I'm generally following the instructions posted here: http://nilfs.sourceforge.net/en/download.html. autogen.sh runs fine but then configure exits with:

checking for blkid_new_probe_from_filename in -lblkid... no
configure: error: BLKID library not found

I seem to have blkid installed as can be seen below

/sbin/blkid

Anyone got any advice? PoA?

you might have issues using this on RHEL5

http://nilfs.sourceforge.net/en/pkg_centos.html
for CentOS ( RHEL) 6 and 7

the cent5 is "obsolete" / unsupported
