Need to run alsaconf everytime i boot up!

Ok I installed alsa-driver-1.0.5a along with it alsa-lib-1.0.5 and alsa-util-1.0.5. I did everything that was instructed in the INSTALL files. Now my sound is working perfectly but when ever I reboot my sound doesn't work. It seems that a config file isn't saved or something.

I am running Red Hat 9.0, all the neccessary files are in modules.d, I have unmuted and changed the volume of the neccessary channels. I have an ASUS P4P800. To get the sound working again I have to run alsaconf and than it works...

Any suggestions?

Set your desired levels in Alsamixer then with Alsamixer still open in another terminal as root run /usr/sbin/alsactl store

shot, I managed to get it sorted with aumix...

used:
Code:

aumix -f /etc/aumixrc -S
to save the config

than added:
Code:

aumix -f /etc/aumixrc -L
to /etc/rc.d/rc.local and all sorted... :D
