Multiple hosts not seeing each others files even though LUN is same

Hi,

I have a SAN in which I added a new vdisk. I presented the space to 3 hosts (same LUN # for all 3 hosts). In Linux, I made a new directory, "backups", in each of the hosts. Then I added this to the fstab file:

/dev/sdm /backups ext3 defaults 0 0

I then did a "mount -a" and created a file in one of the hosts "backups" directory. However, the other hosts do not see the file. Shouldn't the other hosts see the file since they have all been presented the same space and have the same LUN number assigned? What am I missing?

I know with EMC you would need additional software (accesslogix) in order to access the data. What kind of SAN are you attached too?
