Unhappy MP3's with Redhat Core 2?

Hey one & all,

I'm an absolute newbie when it comes to Linux, so please bear with me. I am using Fedora Redhat - Core 2, and I am trying to get XMMS (or anything else that will play MP3's) installed. I think I installed one version (can't remember--I installed like 50 packages at once), but I can't be sure. Has anyone using this distribution had any success regarding playing MP3's? Where is the link for the Core 2 - XMMS (or w/e else), as well as the Core 2 - MP3 plug-in? And do I simply install them using #rpm -i --nodeps --force, or is there some better way?

Thanks in advance,
~ Shawn

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
