Arrow Mounting fat32 partitions

I'd be grateful if i could be a bit of help mounting my win xp pro partition and my slave drive fat32 partition.
I've tried:

mount -t msdos /dev/hda1/mnt

and i'm getting nowhere.

I've installed red hat 9 for the first time yesterday and this has been severly annoying me...
I can access my usb zip drive no problem through mnt/zip it's the partitions i have the problem.
Another area i'd like to know is LILO configuration. Where can i find lilo.conf?

All help appreciated,

Try this:
1) make a mount point:
mkdir /mnt/windows
2) Mount the drive:
mount -t vfat /dev/hda1 /mnt/windows
3) make sure it has mounted:
ls /mnt/windows
