mounting a fat32 partition

hey im new to linux and im trying to get set up on a duel boot. what im trying to do is mount a PCMCIA compact flash card. Red Hat 9 recognizes it, and i followed some instructions on mounting but when i boot i get an error "FS type fat32 not supported by kernal". i also get this for my WinXP Ntfs partition.

if someone could help me through this or direct me to the place to get help

If you want to mount ntfs partition, i think you should compile kernel for NTFS supported at first. When you mount USB flash, you can run "mount /dev/sda1 /mnt or mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt" but you are sure to be fat or fat 32 for your partition.
good luck
