Mount specific umask on RH9.0?

I have NFS mounted partitions that I want to have specific umask settings, different from the rest of the system. This is because the directory contains shared information that needs to be accessible by different users.

I noted that a umask can be included in the mount command for some filetypes but not for NFS. Any hints to do this for NFS mounted directories?

umask only exists for filesystems which don't have that information available. NFS runs with unix filesystem attributes, so the concept of blanket changing permissions depending on what client you connect frmo is nonsensical really. maybe you want to look into the no_root_squash attribute if you're having trouble getting root perms on a remote share.
