Login problem in Fedora
Hi all,
This is Vin. I am a newbie to Linux. I recently installed Fedora Linux in my system which already contains Windows XP pro. I set it up in a dual boot mode. Recently when playing around with the linux, I changed the kickstart configuration settings and selected the NIS and LDAP authentication. My system is a stand alone machine. Because of this mistake I cannot login using the root or any other user account. ( probably because the computer might be searching for a server to authenticate). Can anyone tell me how to get through this problem? Thanks Vin |
Boot up in rescue mode and add local users to your system, and possibly reconfigure your system then once you gain access to not use NIS or LDAP authentication..

Can you tell me the procedure as how to reconfigure so that NIS and LDAP are disabled? I dont know where to go, to configure that.
