hey guys hope u can help me n e way i m a newbie and i hav an 40 gb hard disk with windows and linux 2 gether the problem is a couple of days ago i had to reinstall windows XP again and now i m not able to boot into redhat 9 i dint prepare the rescue disk,but i hav the installation disks of red hat 9 please help
You can reinstall grub using:
1) Boot from RH CD1
2) At the "boot:" prompt type "linux rescue"
3) At the bash prompt change to your system root "chroot /mnt/sysimage"
4) Then to reinstate grub on the mbr "/sbin/grub-install /dev/hda"
5) Reboot "shutdown -r now"
