Linux Digital Picture Frame Project (nOOb's attempt)
Hopefully I don't get flammed for this...
I have a Gateway Solo 2500 that I am wanting to build a digital picture frame out of.
So, a couple of questions:
1) Should/could I use anything other than Red Hat 7.1? From my understanding that's about all I can get installed on a system like this.
2) Would another distro work better that would support WiFi (Linksys WPC11 v3) better?
3) Would you think the graphics on this system is good enough for a digital picture frame? I read that I should be able to get 16bit with the card provided (2MB) in the system but that due to the LCD I would only get 8bit, anyone know better?
4) Any other resources for accomplishing what I am trying to do? I found a few online tutorials for a project like this but most assumed you have a lot more knowledge about Linux than I have.
Thanks to anyone that provides assistance, it is much appreciated.
