lilo bypassing..


folks...
im have win9x and redhat 7.1 installed..and im using lilo boot loader..
well wat i want to know is abt a command with which i can switch to win9x frm the linux kernal ..
wat i do now is..
# reboot
then i wait for lilo to load and take windows label frm the loader ..then enter..
but at times...
i leave the desk after issuing the reboot command and when i return i see the linux loaded again.. ( casue linux is my default OS)

guys... help me..
i dont want to change dafault OS to windows..

One solution would be to increase the timeout value in /etc/lilo.conf to something that would take into account the amount of time it would take to start loading the default image. Maybe give yourself a minute for the reboot, and another minute to get a get a cup of coffee or whatever is taking you away from your desk. So in /etc/lilo.conf, change

timeout=?

(whatever its current value) to

timeout=120

That gives you 2 minutes plus however long it takes to reboot.

anyways...its also a good option...
