lftp and openssl

Anyone here knows how to rebuild the latest supported LFTP package for RHEL4 (lftp-3.0.6-4.src.rpm) to have OpenSSL support?
Or even the latest available (

I have tried to rebuild both of them but when checking with ldd the ssl libraries isn't used.

I have Openssl-devel installed, shouldt the rebuild process automaticlly build lftp with openssl support then?
I have tried and changed the spec file and changed the line:
--with-openssl or --with-openssl=/usr

Anyone knows how I can get openssl support for lftp on a RHEL4.7 64Bit?
