LAN settings problem with Rhel 5
Hi friends..
I go t clear on my last question about kde.. Now i have problem with LAN settings i properly configured IP, Netmask, fo r my PC in lan but on on every my booting i needs to restart my Network service separately.. and also in network settings other than Ethernet connection it creates another connection with .bak extension, if i did deletion also again its created in network settings... I am using RHEL 5 .. Please someone help me... |
Remove that .bak connection first. Then create a new connection with ip specifications.

u just do the following things-
at first u set the ip address of ur machine what u did before.after setting ip configuration u just run this two commands- 1.service network restart 2.chkconfig network on i think ur problem will solve after doing above things. tk cr. |

You do not need the first command in this, unless you're wanting to manually start the service at the time you enter that command. The chkconfig line is what's going to turn the service on at boot time, and that had already been posted. |
