Are you capable of booting first CD into rescue mode and re-installing the kernel package then?

You have got two options:
1) Boot with a bootdisk, which you have created during installation.
2) Boot first CD and start it by entering linux rescue, then follow the instructions on the screen. Does that work for you? If it does, you've got a rescue system which you can use to install the kernel rpm package from first CD.
If you need help at some step, provide details please. There are enough users who can help when they know details.

Spend a bit more times on your messages, please, so one can understand what exactly you've tried.
Booting the first CD with "linux rescue" does NOT install or fix anything automatically. It boots a minimal Linux system which an experienced Linux user can use to fix errors (e.g. the damage you've done). With a bit of help and cooperation it is manageable also for newbies. Step by step instructions can be found on the Internet (or even in these message boards) with a bit of patience and interest.

No, your system does not work fine.
Because if it did, you could simply re-install the kernel package from first CD.
Somehow you need to get access to a kernel rpm package. Rescue mode would be one way to do that.
Was your system fully up-to-date? Maybe there's a kernel package still in /var/spool/up2date?

You are way too unresponsive, unfortunately. If you described how far you get with rescue mode, one could help you continue there. But one needs to know whether you are able to mount a CD-ROM and re-install an rpm or what your problem with rescue mode is.

By removing /lib/modules you have deleted all your kernel modules, including drivers to access your CD-ROM. The kernel is working fine, but additional modules are missing.
To get back the files in /lib/modules, you would re-install the kernel RPM package. Now tell me, what ways have you got to get a kernel package? Rescue mode of disc #1 is one way to access your CD drive and copy the kernel package from it. You don't seem to like that method. So where you do get a kernel package from if you don't have a copy on your hard disk drive?
