Installing RH9

I tried burning the ISO's of the RH9 distro with the CDWriter program on RH8 Linux. When trying to do this I run into the proble of the ISO image to be too large....around 2,000 MB. I think the ISO image is only around 700 MB's. I would like to update to the new version but cant burn the ISO's. Also when updating from RH8 to RH9 is it a fairly easy process and will I have to reconfigure a lot of things on the computer again? Any help you guys could give me wioll be helpful.

by any chance do you have all 3 ISO's wrapped into one large file? the three discs total ~ 2,000MB.

as far as the upgrade goes...I personally think a clean install is the best; however, I have seen many success stories on these and other boards regarding upgrades.

just my .02

Please let me know what can be wrong

There are three seperate ISO files. Each of them are around 700mb and when I go to burn to a CD they are 2000mb for one of the ISO. I think I might do an upgrade from the HD if I cannot get the CDs created.

Check this out.

When I've had that problem with Redhat, I do this:

When it asks for the 2nd CD, simply push your empty CD-ROM shut and click OK. It will then tell you that it can't find it and ask you to put it in again. The 2nd time you put it in and click OK, it should work.

At least it does for me

Peace,
Me
