installing red hat
I bought a computer with a Pentium 2 Processor (350 megahurts), 64 mb of ram, and Nvidia Video Card. It has Windows 98 SE on it. I do not want that on my computer. Will Red Hat 9 run on it? I cannot get the computer to boot from the cdrom. I have looked for a way to change that in the Bios settings and did not find anything that would help.

Hi!
First of all do you need to ask the same question four times? It would be enough if you asked in Linux General whether Mandriva, College Linux, Redhat or LFS would work on that computer.
Then: do you really need RedHat? There are a lot newer Linux distros. Try something like Fedora or Slackware. I the system does not boot from CD, try making some boot diskettes. You can find instructions on the distrobution's website's.
Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
