Installation Issue

I have Kubuntu and want a clean install of Red Hat v9.0. I am hoping this comes with KDE installed, but am expecting to be able to install it if not.

When I startup to the screen where you have the boot parameters(like linux noprobe), I have full use of my keyboard. I press Enter to begin the installation, and it brings me to the installation screen.

I am installing from a burned disk, and have checked the md5sum. It brings me to a CD Found menu asking me to check the media or skip.

Here lies my problem... I have no use of the keyboard. I tried to toss on a ps2 keyboard, but no go, then I tried a usb keyboard w/ the same results.
I am using an HP Pavilion ze4800 notebook.

I'm not familiar with the RH9 installer. Is it a graphical install you're having trouble with? If so then perhaps you should try the text install.
(P.S. Why are you still using RH9? Why not Fedora Core?)

didn't realise FC# was the update to RH#. I burned the FC4 DVD and the installation was flawless. Apparently Red Hat was unable to detect my hardware. Now my problem is that I'm using a crappy broadcom wireless card.

Use ndiswrapper for wireless connection to your router.

well, see...
my problem is that I can't find ndiswrapper or use modprobe, or any of that crap with FC4. I don't know if it was missing from the install.
I think I'm going to go back to windows for a little while, give me a break from this, because I'm getting confused as fuck. I spose when I return to Linux I'll stick with Ubuntu. Or at least some debian distro.
