Information on patches for older RedHat distro versions

Hello,

RedHat has clearly mentioned that they will not release patches for the older versions of RedHat distro like RedHat Linux 7.2, 7.3, 8.0, 9.0 etc.

But I am sure new vulnerabilities keep cropping up for these versions. How does one know where to find patches for these and handle such issues, especially for patch management ?

I am interested in patch management for these older Linux versions, and am wondering how patch management tools tackle this.

Any info will be appreciated.

Thanks,
JH

You can check fedoralegacy.org, they are maintaining some of the older redhats. I use apt & one of their repositories to keep my system up to date.

Thanks bones. Do the built-in patch management tools in these Linux versions, report latest vulnerabilities and provide patches for those ? I was under the impression that, tools like apt and up2date used patches only from the RedHat site (or released by RedHat), in which case they won't get any further patch updates as RedHat has stopped the support. What is the repository you are talking about ?

I subscribed to their security watch list to stay informed about vulnerabilities & as for the repositories, all the information is at the site I posted above, so is the info for joining the watch lists. I'm on the wrong box at the moment to be able to say more than that, but I'll check on the other one when I get home.
