HP LaserJet Series CUPS v.1.1 - Jobs never print
Since my forehead is now flat from banging it against my desktop I've decided to put this out and see what happens. I'm am using FC2. I've configured a printer with CUPS. When I print a test page a job is created however, it goes to queue and never prints.
The print jobs are suppose to go to a hp laserjet 1000 series printer. The printer is actually a local printer connected to a networked Windows XP Pro box. I'm using an old hub to connect the linux box to the network. CUPS is not returning any errors it just shows State processing since, blah The device URI is: smb://lb122/hplaser/username:password CUPS shows Printer state: processing, accepting jobs. "Printing page 1, 0% complete." Any help is requested and much appreciated. Thanks |
last time i had somethign like this is was because i didn't build cups with eps support... to get more details, whup opoen /etc/cups/cupsd.conf and edit the LogLevel attribute, debug2 will log everythign in site and should tell you what's going wrong.
