HowTo Install GCC on Red Hat Enterprise 3 ?


HowTo install GCC on RedHat Enterprise Linux 3 and from where do download the package!

can someone tell me with exactly download rpm or tar archive link... for that distro... because i didnt find correct package for that Distro

It is on the install CD (number 3 if I'm not mistaken) and can also be downloaded via the RedHat Network.

I'm moving this to the RedHat forum in case you have any more questions...

use these commend
rpm -ivh gcc.*( use tab here) --force --aid
there is one easy step to open in graphics mode( startX/ init 5) then double click on it

i would advise using rhn for this, hopefully you have registered that system with them else this will not work until registering.

up2date -i gcc #will download and install the newest rh version of gcc.

why when i use that command, it ask me to enter number ??
