How to secure a directory in the web application?

Hi,

I have a project in my web server (apache tomcat). I am using red hat. I have a “flashfiles” directory in webapps/myproject/flashfiles. I can possibly access the files in the “flashfiles” directory as

http://localhot:8080/files/personal.swf

I have to secure the directory by accessing it only within the web application. Please, help me to secure the directory using web server or in red hat

Thanks
