How to install gaim with ssl support?

Is there any ssl package for gaim &redhat 8, recently could not login msn cause out error without ssl support.help me!!

You need to update to the newest gaim release. http://gaim.sourceforge.net

After installing the beta-version of http://www.gnu.org/software/gnutls/, I compiled gaim from source with --enable-gnutls=yes

That did the trick for me.

I agree...I had to compile GAIM from source and it worked fine....

I, also don't understand if you have GAIM installed already and then
get the 'latest/greatest' version with an RPM, it won't install over the
top of the previous version.

I had the SSL problem when I installed the RPM version of .74, so
I uninstalled it and then REinstalled it from the source and it works
fine.

Not sure, why...
