how to give access to user for sending mail in sendmail

i want few users to have access for sending mails in sendmail and others not. please help me

you need to provide more useful information than that... what kind of architectures are you using? Do you need some form of authentication? By default anyone on a local machine can pass email into sendmail to be forwarded.

i am working on rhel 5. i have configured sendmail on it. it allows all the users to send and recieve mail. i want to restrict some users from doing so.. can you help me. thank you

Again, where are these users? what software are they using? please provide as much information as possible.
