if u have an internet account from any isp, say bsnl, u can dialout using tools such as 'kppp'

Hi Munjal,
I am also in India and could (hopefully!) resolved the problem (still not sure how long it would work). You may follow the following steps.
[list=1][*]login as a root[*]open terminal[*]type kppp[*]this will bring you some text output in the terminal and then will open a dialogue box[*]This dialogue box is intuitive so you will be able to provide the information needed[*]Let the DNS etc be automatic. Do not give any number. If it works, fine. Otherwise ask your ISP for DNS ip address[*]Finally click connect[/list=1]

I hope this should work. If not, please let me know if I could be of any help. I am a newbie too. So do not expect more but if we could share our problems and solution it is fine.
