How to configure Broadcom BCm4306.

I have installed REL5 on Dell D600 Laptop, when I run lspci it does see
02:03.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4306 802.11b/g Wireless LAN Controller (rev 02)

but if I try to configure wireless network interface thru system-config-network it gives me this error

SoftMAC: Associate: Scanning for networks first.
SoftMAC: Associate: failed to initiate scan. Is device up?
firmware_helper[2628]: Loading of /lib/firmware/bcm43xx_microcode4.fw for bcm43xx driver failed: No such file or directory
kernel: bcm43xx: Error: Microcode "bcm43xx_microcode4.fw" not available or load failed.

Can someone guide how to configure it.

thanks

You need the firmware installed to the /lib/firmware directory. The tool to extract the firmware files are here; http://bcm43xx.berlios.de/

Or if you prefer here: http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pu...inux/extras/6/
Look for the bcm43xx-fwcutter package.
