how scroll mouse will work

i am using the redhat 9.. and using the logitech 3 button scroll mouse..
but i doesn't get the scroll property of mouse for scrolling windows..

how it will be activated ?

does it work at all? or just badly.

you might need to edit your xorg config and add something like this:

Section "InputDevice"

Identifier "Mouse1"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "auto"
Option "Device" "/dev/mouse"
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "false"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
